Our origins lie in the clock trade in the Clerkenwell area of London going back over 160 years, where the name Biddle first came on the scene.
The name of Frank Williams is synonymous with the modern Biddle and Mumford, Both Frank
and his wife Audrey were the driving force of this company. Even today, more than 2 decades
after Frank retired and passed over the reins of the company, his ethos and beliefs are enshrined
in our company by the directors who were privileged to be mentored by Frank.
Frank’s passion and dedication for small gears encouraged him to start up Biddle and Mumford.
His pride when we produced our very first helical gear and his overriding belief in adapting new
technology that produced the culture we have for the quality components we manufacture today.
We continue to pursue Frank’s dreams and passion for Biddle and Mumford.
